Current Research Projects
1. European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) for ' Validation of the Educational Needs Assessment Tool as a generic instrument in 7 European countries'. The grant is spread over 3 years, starting in July 2009. - The principal investigator is Dr Jackie Hill
2. Research for Patient Benefit 'A study evaluating the effect of Educational Needs Assessment Tool (ENAT) focused patient education, on health outcomes in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.' The study will be co-ordinated by Bernadette Hardware at Barnsley & District Hospital (grant of £242,079 )
3. Evaluation of Tai Chi exercise and Auricular acupressure for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis (funding from South Korean Government).The prinicpal investigators are Dr Hea Young Lee, Professor Claire Hale
4. The Arthritis Trust (Yorkshire) A multi centre study of the Predictors of Foot Ulceration in Patients with RA. (£82,139.80) The Principal investigator is Dr Jill Firth,
5. 3 year study Funded by the Arthritis Research Campaign (£ 200,746.000)A randomised controlled study of outcome and cost effectiveness for RA patients attending nurse -led rheumatology clinics: a nationwide study. The principal investigator is Dr Jackie Hill
6. aRC Educational Project Grant £32,313. Development of a tool to identify the educational needs of patients across the rheumatic diseases. The principal investigator is Dr Jackie Hill (2005)
