Healthcare with an International focus

Welcome to the International section of the School of Healthcare site. The School of Healthcare is committed to building international links to promote its research expertise and welcomes students, researchers and partnerships from across the world.
We are a research led school ranked in the top Schools for nursing, paramedical studies and social work in the UK and our research work has been rated at 'world leading' in the latest Research Assessment Exercise. Our research expertise has supported projects by the World Health Organisation, the UK National Health Service and the American Federal Drug Administration, as well as informing Clinical Guidelines in many countries.
We are a leading provider of healthcare staff for the UK National Health Service and our inspirational academics and cutting edge research provide a high quality student experience for international students seeking a world class healthcare education and we have attracted students from Sweden, Denmark, America, Canada and Brazil.
We also have a range of study abroad opportunities for UK healthcare students wishing to broaden their expertise in Africa, Australia, Canada, India, South America, and European countries. And we have formal Erasmus links with Copenhagen, Jyvaskalan (Finland), Madrid and Orebro (Sweden).
