New Student Zone planned for 2012
The School of Healthcare are pleased to announce the creation of a new Student Zone in Baines Wing. The Student Zone will be created on the ground floor, opposite the Baines Wing Café. It is planned to create social and work spaces for Healthcare students as well as extending the usage of the Baines Wing Café space. These spaces are being created for students to meet and relax as well as providing a working area, away from the everyday bustle..
Students at the heart of the project
We are currently engaging with students and other stakeholders about what activities and facilities should be included and how the internal areas should look and feel, putting students at the heart of the project. The Student Zone will be completed during the summer and will be ready for the start of the new academic year starting in September 2012. If you are starting with us in September or are an existing student, we hope this space will make a real difference to your experience.

The project is now at the detailed planning and design phase and we will be posting regular updates on this site as the project develops. Building work is expected to start after the exam period to minimise disruption.
