My PhD research is exploring whether any effectiveness of homeopathic treatment is due to the time spent with a caring and empathetic person. After graduating from university I worked as a research chemist and it was during this time that I became interested in complementary medicine and decided to study homeopathy. After qualifying I worked as a homeopath in private practice and retaining an interest in research I joined the Society of Homeopaths research committee. I was awarded a three year full time School of Healthcare scholarship in September 2009. This provided me with the opportunity to further develop my interests in research and complementary medicine. I enjoy travelling, cooking, reading and speaking Spanish. |
