Fees/Funding

Funding for research is derived from a range of public, private and Research Council sources and is currently in the region of £1M per year, including several prestigious contracts. The School offers a number of scholarships on an annual basis which attract around 30 applications per year, with some seeking to follow a research candidature on a part-time basis.

The School encourages applications from science and social-science graduates as well as qualified health and social care professionals.  We may offer higher bursaries for students who are registered health or social care professionals.  The School has a worldwide reputation in research with ongoing projects in Brazil, Australia, India, Norway and the USA.
