‘About Management of Mental Health’
We have two key themes of research: offender health and psychological therapies. Our offender health research is linked to local and national policy developments. Through facilitating shared policies and governance practices, our work in this area has also led to the implementation of action learning groups across the country and development of national standards for best practice in clinical supervision.
Our psychological therapies research stream links with local, national and international partners, including Leeds Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to establish evidence based approaches to employment support, nationally with the offender health network and internationally with Universities in Australia and New Zealand.
Collaborators also include the NSPCC, The Anna Freud Centre and leading researchers at Yale University in supporting the Minding the Baby Project (MTB) - a major international study which aims to evaluate the efficacy and fidelity of an attachment based intensive and preventive home visitation intervention programme for disadvantaged young first-time mothers and their infants.
