The Graduate certificates

The School of Healthcare Graduate Certificates are an integrated group of courses designed to have a very clear and healthcare- focused academic topic or competency as its subject area.

These Graduate Certificates meet the defined educational needs of a modern healthcare, providing continuing education and accreditation for progression and development. They respond to the specific state mandate of the Darzi Report and provide the student with formal recognition of the mastery of a clearly defined academic topic at undergraduate and post graduate level.

All our courses are available to the general public and fees information is available. If you work for the NHS your course will be funded, subject to approval from your line manager.

We believe we have an exciting range of professional development programmes backed by inspirational teachers, internationally recognised researchers and skilled practitioners.

Fully funded programmes

The majority of the post-registration modules and programmes offered by The School of Healthcare, including degrees and taught postgraduate degrees, are free of charge to all NHS employees working in the area covered by the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority.  This includes non registered personnel; social care staff who are part of integrated health and social care teams; staff from voluntary/community sector organisations; and organisations providing audited/ profiled practice placements for NHS students.

Service users may also be eligible as well as unemployed new graduate healthcare professionals trained within the Yorkshire & Humberside region.
