Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling - PGD-PSY-C08

What this programme is about:
This programme is identical with the first two years of the MA Psychotherapy Counselling. It provides high quality counselling training with a strong research focus and a core model of intersubjectivity. In addition to introducing and critiquing theories of counselling and psychotherapy, the programme incorporates intensive skills training, group supervision, a two year personal development group and mandatory personal therapy, and includes specialist input from leaders in the fields of intersubjective and creative approaches to therapy and supervision. Students will be in clinical practice for which they will receive individual supervision external to the programme.

Why do this course?
On successful completion students will be capable of practising independently or in multi-disciplinary teams, and will also have met the initial training requirements for BACP individual accreditation. Further supervised practice will be necessary in order to qualify for BACP accreditation
