The suite of Diagnostic Imaging programmes has been approved by the University of Leeds, the Consortium for Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) and the College of Radiographers, and includes part time and full time options.

The suite of programmes includes the following awards:-

Part-time
• Postgraduate Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging (normally 1 year)
• Postgraduate Diploma  in Diagnostic Imaging (normally 2 years)
• Master of Science in Diagnostic Imaging (normally  3 years)

Full-time
• Postgraduate Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging (normally 1 year)

The suite of programmes streamlines delivery of previous postgraduate diagnostic imaging provision in Mammography, Breast Imaging and Medical Ultrasound provided by the School of Healthcare at Leeds. It offers an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals to study in a multidisciplinary learning environment and negotiate a customised, individual programme of learning and professional development across a wide range of specialist areas of diagnostic imaging practice.

The programmes use a blended learning approach combining e-learning, face to face lectures, practical hands-on simulation, directed self-study and supervised workbased clinical training. There is strong emphasis on evidence based practice, integrating theory and clinical practice, on delivering research led education and promoting research based learning. The programme teaching team work closely with students and their workbased mentors to deliver successful and rewarding educational experiences.
