Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice - PGD-PHARP-10

What this programme is about
This programme is aimed at registered pharmacists working in community, primary or secondary care practice who wish to develop the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges presented by developments in pharmacy practice. This programme will equip you to provide pharmaceutical care to patients, manage your personal and professional development and introduce new services to the workplace.

Why study this programme?
Teachers and facilitators draw on a range of expertise in education, clinical practice and research. Teaching methods include both study days, e-learning and work based learning, and develop skills for lifelong learning.

The programme will provide you with:
- A work based learning focus with assessment methods linked to your practice and your work
- Flexibility within the modules for you to develop your knowledge and skills in those areas of practice most appropriate to the work environment
- Support in meeting the GPhC requirements for recording CPD
- An opportunity to be assessed to provide medicines use reviews and prescription intervention under the community pharmacy contract
- Support with meeting the requirements of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework.
- Opportunities to learn with other healthcare professionals

The structure of the course is based round 120 postgraduate level credits of which 90 credits are derived from the compulsory modules and 30 credits from optional modules. The compulsory modules are:
