My name is Bernadette Almond, I'm from Hambleton Nr Selby and I'm a mature student, 40 years old . I'm studying the BSc(hons) Adult Nursing.
I decided to come to the University of Leeds because it has a great reputation for Healthcare learning and established links to the regional hospitals.
Adult Nursing has always appealed to me because I always wanted to become a nurse and I wanted to make a difference - and I wanted do a job that counts.
The highlights of the course have been the new experiences, working in hospitals, meeting patients and learning from the staff. The other highlight has been making new friends whilst studying; it's very rewarding and always different!.
